Personal — Individualized — Coaching

Coaching can be the Silver Bullet you are looking for to give you the control over your business and your life and accelerate positive results in both.

~ It's All About You ~

You are familiar with the Personal Trainer concept.
The trainer offers a fitness program tailored for your individual requirements.

Personal, Executive Coaching is about you as a business person and developing a personalized program of assistance, designed to help you address the constant stream of challenges you face each day... both in your professional life and in your personal life.

Your professional and personal lives are both referenced as each impacts the other in many ways.

"Across Corporate America, coaching sessions at many companies have become as routine for executives as budget forecasts and quota meetings."
Investors Business Daily

Coaching, unlike consulting, does not proceed with an objective of providing "the solution" or "the answer." In the coaching process, the client is recognized as being a successful, accomplished executive with strong insights and knowledge. Coaching builds upon and reinforces those strengths.

The approach is to challenge and stimulate the thinking... to cooperatively explore the various options... allowing the executive to make the final decision as to the appropriate course of action. While the client provides the focus of the opportunity or challenge to be addressed, the coach listens… and utilizing accumulated business experience and training, directs open-ended questions and pertinent observations to facilitate the development and exploration of potential options for the first or next step.

Having reached that decision-point, a critical element of a good coaching process comes into play... accountability. Inadequate implementation is the greatest cause for failed initiatives. Even initiatives developed with vision and good planning cannot overcome poor implementation.

Accountability... holding the executives feet-to-the-fire for implementation, is a significant differentiator. Quite often, senior executives, and particularly CEOs, do not have anyone to hold them accountable. The coach will undertake that role.

"What's really driving the boom in coaching, is this: as we move from 30 miles an hour to 70 to 120 to180......as we go from driving straight down the road to making right turns and left turns to abandoning cars and getting on motorcycles...the whole game changes, and a lot of people are trying to keep up, learn how not to fall off."
John Kotter, Professor of Leadership, Harvard Business School
